Korea, Part I

7/23
Me and a bunch of Koreans, my people!

I had to convince Youthlarge that it would be a pain to try to bring a puppy back to the U.S. And, no, these puppies aren't being sold for food.

We left Seoul for Gyeongju.

The restaurant where everybody left upon our entry.

I still can't believe we didn't ride one of these.

The almost deserted amusement park.

Tell me this isn't just a wee bit creepy. Listen to how ominous the song is. At this point, we didn't even know if it was open or not.

It is open. Look, there is a person taking tickets to the left!

The Diamond Ring Ferris Wheel is looming in the distance.

Score!

The view from the ride.

Those robot dogs still freak me out. The people in this picture are pretty much everyone who was in the park.

Humpty Dance!

We took a tour.

Just what I want to think about when I'm eating ice cream - a dancing pig in a tuxedo.

The top of a steep climb.

After seeing Buddha stuff all day, the object I was most taken with was the lamp at our hotel in Suwon.
